Worship in November at HUMC

November is a month of gratitude, remembrance, and shared vision at Highlands United Methodist Church.

As part of our Stewardship Season, we’re exploring how God’s grace moves through our lives,

our stories, and our shared future together.

🕯 November 2 – All Saints Sunday & Third Grade Bibles

On All Saints Sunday, we pause to remember and give thanks for the saints who have shaped our faith and our lives. During worship, we’ll also celebrate our children as they receive their third-grade Bibles—a beloved tradition that reminds us we are rooted in a story much bigger than ourselves.

🙌 November 9 – Laity Sunday with Guest Preacher Wes Reynolds

Laity Sunday is a special United Methodist tradition celebrating the ministry of all God’s people. It reminds us that the work of the church is not only led by clergy but lived out by every person in the congregation. We’ll welcome guest preacher Wes Reynolds as we reflect on what it means to live out our shared calling.

🌿 November 16 – Commitment Sunday & New Members

On Commitment Sunday, we’ll bring forward our pledges as acts of trust in God’s future—not as tickets to belong, but as signs of shared hope. We’ll also welcome new members into our congregation, celebrating the promises we make to one another to support the church with our prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.

🧡 November 23 – Thanksgiving Sunday

We’ll close the month in a spirit of deep gratitude, celebrating God’s abundance and the community we share. Come and give thanks with your church family.

All are welcome at HUMC. Whether you’ve been here for years or are visiting for the first time, we hope this season will remind you that grace is already holding us — and that we are building this future together.
