Welcome to Highlands UMC
Worship
Worship service takes place Sundays at 10am (in-person and online). Sunday School for elementary-aged children is offered during service.
Services can be watched anytime throughout the week.
During worship, we gather support for and embrace the joys of the other six days of the week. We strive to create a sacred, welcoming space through music, prayer, and sermons that engage the deep meaning of everyday life.
Service
We seek to live the teachings of Jesus: love, acceptance justice, and hope. We do so through many different partnerships and opportunities. We work daily to put our faith into action. We strive to improve our neighborhood and wider community through active involvement outside our building. Within our walls, we seek to create a home for ALL people Join us in our mission to make the world a better place!
Welcome
Highlands United Methodist Church holds inclusivity as a defining value. We embrace Jesus’ message that God loves and accepts every person, and so our welcome knows no boundaries. In the name and spirit of Jesus, we welcome people of every age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, physical or mental ability, and economic condition into full participation in the life and leadership of our congregation.
This statement of welcome and inclusivity was adopted in 2010. We seek to live into it daily.

Communion
All are welcome to share in communion, no matter your age or background. God loves and accepts every person, so our communion table knows no boundaries. In the name and spirit of Jesus, communion is open to people of every age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, physical or mental ability, religious background, political affiliation, theological belief, and economic condition.
Baptism
Baptism is a celebration of God’s love that we offer for all people, of any age- no cost, no membership requirement, nothing to keep you from celebrating God’s love for you or your child.
Building Our History
Our congregation has served north Denver for more than 125 years. That heritage of service is a foundation for the ways we continue to grow and explore what our community needs from us today. We are inspired to carry forward the best of what has been, as we respond to the dynamic world around us.
