About the event
Together, we’ll reflect on what forgiveness is (and what it isn’t), how it can support our own healing, and how practices of truth-telling, compassion, and repair can shape the way we live with one another in a hurting world. This will be a gentle, discussion-based gathering with no prior reading required. You’re welcome even if you can’t attend both weeks.
The Book of Forgiving by Desmond Tutu and Mpho Tutu is both a spiritual reflection and a practical guide. Drawing from Archbishop Tutu’s experience leading South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission after apartheid, the book explores forgiveness not as forgetting harm or excusing injustice, but as a path toward freedom, truth-telling, and restored relationship — within ourselves and with others.
