Baptism at HUMC
Baptism is one of the most beautiful moments in the life of our church—a celebration of God’s grace already at work in us, a sign of belonging, and a sacred welcome into the community of Christ.
Whether you are seeking baptism for yourself, your child,
or another loved one, we are honored to share this milestone with you.
At Highlands UMC, baptisms are ordinarily celebrated during our Sunday morning worship service so the whole congregation can participate in the vows of welcome and support.
In special circumstances, a separate baptism service may be arranged in conversation with Pastor Stephanie.

You do not need to be a member of Highlands UMC to be baptized here.
We joyfully baptize people of all ages—infants, children, youth, and adults—and we welcome families and individuals who are just beginning to connect with our community.
If you are interested in learning more about membership, we would be glad to support you, but it is not a requirement for baptism.

When you are ready to begin the process, please complete our Baptism Inquiry Form.
The form helps us learn a bit about you, schedule your baptism, and prepare for a service that reflects your story and God’s love.
After submitting the form, Pastor Stephanie will follow up to confirm details and offer a time for conversation.
