The Lent season is upon us.
This year, HUMC will explore what it means to be set free.
Our world—and our own lives—are filled with things that hold us captive: fear, shame, comparison, violence, and the stories we carry about ourselves and one another.
Together, we will learn how Christ meets us in our vulnerability and gently leads us toward wholeness.
Lent begins with the examination of our mortality and the prayer that ultimately, it may be the divine animation of ash in the form of our courageous and compassionate actions for which our communities are remembered.
