Women's Ministries

Women participate in the life and leadership of Highlands UMC in many ways. Each year Pastor Betty and Pastor Kerry lead a Women's Retreat focusing on a theme that helps grow spiritually and reflect on our lives in new ways. Women of all ages are welcome; watch the calendar or home page for dates each winter.

In Fall 2011, a Women's Group for women of all ages and stages began meeting monthly (more or less) in people's homes. Also, a group just for senior women has started up - they call themselves the "Golden Girls"!

Men's Group

The Men's Group meets monthly for dessert and conversation in the homes of members. Meetings are usually the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7:30; contact Michael House or Jeff Hirota for details.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgendered People & Friends

Beginning with fall 2011, a group for GLBT folks and friends has started up, and meets about once a month to offer spiritual support and plan ministries together.
