Statement of Welcome

Highlands UMC is a Reconciling Congregation, open to all.

Highlands United Methodist Church embraces Jesus' message that God loves and accepts every person, and so our welcome knows no boundaries. In the name and spirit of Jesus, we welcome people of every age, race, ethnicity, culture, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, physical or mental ability, and economic condition into full participation in the life and leadership of our congregation.

Affinity Group for Gay, Lesbian, Transgendered & Bisexual Persons & Friends

Our Reconciling congregation is forming a new ministry to support and educate our congregation. If you identify as a GLBT person or a friend and advocate, this new ministry needs you. The gathering will take place in the homes of the members. Please contact the church office for upcoming meeting dates and locations.

A smaller group planned our first-ever Born This Way Ball for youth in 7th - 12th grades on March 2, 2012. We had a blast!
